hot water only warm

hi there i have a immersion heater which gives us hot water but for the past week the water is only warm is it the thermostat or the heater itself

I'm not an electrical expert, but I would check the thermostat first.

Usually, from my limited experience, I have found the main elements either work or they dont.

i think either your element is scaled and not heating the water enough (as before) or ... is the thermostat set at it's normal temp (60-65)c ??
