Hotpoint dishwasher design fault

I have just fixed my hotpoint dishwasher - the control wires that go from the front panel down to the water heater/pump is squeezed into a flimsy plastic tube which is then crushed between the door housing and the main body, thus being pulled and pushed everytime the door opens.

It seems a poor design to be honest and will always have a very limited life expectancy.

Its probably not the best method but that is how nearly all domestic dishwashers are wired up.

I have repaired 1 with this fault in the last 3 1/2 years and that was an integrated Hoover D/W.
