hotpoint electronic 800 door sticking.

Hi, machine goes through cycle but then door will not open i usually rerun the spin cycle and after a couple of attempts door opens. At first i thought everything seems ok but i have just found 2 slits in the door rubber adjacent to the door handle could this be the problem? is their a connection of some sort hidden behind their? is it possible to repair the rubber rather than replace it?

you cant repair the rubber door seal it will need replacing.

depends on model of 800 you have (should have a four or five digit number begining with 9) as to which door lock is fitted.
