Hotpoint FZFM151 freezer not freezing

Have a Hotpoint FZFM151 frost free freezer
Just out of warranty (typical)
Is not freezing
Red and amber Leds flashing fast on front panel
Some frost inside back wall and unsure if compressor is running
When under warranty engineer cleared a block drain hole where some insulation foam had got wedged in blocking the drain
No.parts were replaced and worked ok till now
Not at home.so can only rely on info received on the phone
Was suggested I completely defrosted it in case heater was frozen up
Any suggestions or advice very well come

Is it a "frost-free" freezer?

If so, yes, take out all the food and eat it, and leave it switched off with the freezer door open for 24 hours or until water stops dripping into the cabinet or into the dish round the back, whichever is the longer. If you cut short the defrost you have wasted your time. Verify that the drain channel, hole and plastic pipe into the dish are all unobstructed.

Yes its frost free model
The fan at the top is not running
It did this before
I will empty the freezer and introduce some hot air underneath the fan
And will check the drain hole
