We are going to try this new Ariel Cold washing powder.
Our machine is a hot & cold fill, can we just turn off the hot feed or should we put a "Y" piece on the cold & supply both of it.
Thanks

Eventually found the handbook. Yes it does need the "Y" piece off the cold tap coupling both pipes.

The hot fill valve only operates when a hot wash is selected (gernerally 50+ degrees)

Most washes and powders now are done/used at lower temps so no hot water enters the machine

We haven't tried yet, but just on a cool wash surely the combi would cut in.

your combi will only come on if your machine makes a hot fill demand,so if as said already hot fill request is at say 40+ gegrees and you select 40 or under then your boiler wont fire up, hope this helps.

kev.
