Hi all,

Washer gave up the ghost earlier, will not spin!!!...

Full story as such.... Washer was on as normal, me in living room. Heard an almighty wallop wallop wallop!!!! Thought WTF???

Went into kitchen, washer will now do everything but spin, checked Brushes they are good. Turned myself into contortionist and removed filter from rear.. thats fine....

What next????????

Cheers Martin

If you are unlucky the bearings are gone or the spider is shot. Open the door & check if there is any up/down slack then spin the drum by hand & listen for any rumbling/grinding sounds (may pay to remove the drive belt first). Other candidates could be; broken/defective shock absorbers - failure to drain properly (unlikely if you checked the filter/pump) - washing a single or heavy item (unbalance) - or a speed control problem (pcb or tacho issue).
