Hi everybody - hopefully I am posting this in the right area as I could not see any other which seemed suitable.

I am after somebody to come and have a look at my air bricks on my house as have just discovered one which is covered up fairly substantially.

What sort of trader/specialist would be the best person to help me here?

Keen to avoid costly surveys etc but happy to pay a call out charge in the first instance to assess things for me.

Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Andy

Sorry Jeds, I should have specified - somewhat by soil/grass and somewhat by electric cabling which I believe feeds an outside light (the cabling has a square-like casing around the outside protecting it/keeping it neat).

I am really keen to get somebody out to look at it but wasn't sure what type of specialist I should search?

What exactly is the problem that you think you have? That will determine who needs to look at it.

If you post a picture here we will look at it just the same as anyone else.

And do you have timber floors where this airbrick is?

I would say a general builder or bricklayer. It depends on if anything is super close to it like gas pipe or electricty cable.

Thanks guys, I am not experiencing any problems yet but wanted to get a view as to whether it's something I need to do something about or not by getting somebody out to look. I am not sure whether or not I have timber floor to be honest, i will take a photo this evening and post up. An electricity cable is close to the air brick which I believe powers an outside light

Covered by soil or grass, I'd say a gardener might be the best option.
