House Interior Door Handle Spring Removal

I've got a number of door handles which have dropped. So decided to replace the springs. I've taken the handles off but not sure how to remove the cam. There are no circlips and the cam looks to be pressed in. Any ideas how to remove? I've tried to gentle prise off by no luck.

The cam will prise off but it may distort...these fixings are designed to be ‘one shot’ but they sometimes can be re- used.
