Housing benefit scrapped for under 25's

David Cameron, like Tony Blair before him like to tax the poor, look after the rich. Because if all your friend and business partners are rich you wouldn't want them getting angry with you now would you? Tony Blair has made millions since retiring, he's not had to worry about his pension. Cherie isn't shirt of a few bob. David and his missus are not exactly scraping pennies together either.

Blame the poor, they cannot afford lawyers and are pretty much defenceless.

Apparently the most offensive thing you can say in some quarters is "Tax the rich!" Sorry I should have asterixed that out.

Any chance you can back up your statement? I for one would be interested to see the stat that shows school leavers are getting all the social housing places.

Nobody is claiming they are, so don't be silly.

It's a rather obvious point though, teach em when they are young to rely on themselves and their family FIRST, not benefits.

"There are people, families who have been affected by the economic situation and have lost or will their home. People who have worked and not relied on the state. Now the waiting lists for social housing are massive - partly because of no past investment, but mainly because the housing is given to young people straight from school who have contributed nothing and are then trapped in this lifestyle"

How do you expect them to rely on themselves if there is no work?

What about kids leaving the care system?

The big problem for society is that chav kids are thick like their dumb parents. In the old days they operated machinery in factories, but those jobs have gone. That means that society doesn't need or want them.

So whats the answer ?? now i dont support any of the @rseholes in power however now then why should i bring my son up who's 9 to get a job and work his arse off WHEN so many people just have to learn how to fluff an interview then if they want too get up late or if they want could they rub their eyes and watch a bit of jezza if they can be @rsed and NO i dont accept there is not many jobs as its been proven if you want a job its yours . By the way before those who dont want to work try and come back with an excuse (as usual) i was left with no qualifications AS the class i was in didnt want to work so I had no chance and so in the end I said to a prospective employer take me on with no pay for a month and 22 years later im still here so i wont accept no theres no jobs as a responce

22 years ago there were no migrants pinching the jobs. Kids these days don't get a look-in.

Rubbish. Why have you got a job then? Are you a migrant? Will your son get a job or is he some idle layabout?

Thats my point he's my son if he can get away with not working and still have the same quality of life than i say good on him. no joe im not a migrant thats my point the jobs are there

You'll change your tune when he can't find work.

Over a million young people unemployed - show me the million jobs then. (he won't).

How do you expect them to rely on themselves if there is no work?

They don't, they rely on their family, or friends, like generations of people before them.

Why do you want to destroy family values?

What about kids leaving the care system?

Why are you arguing against a change in the system based on a small minority.

Especially as that small minority already has a set of different more specialised rules http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_a...from_social_services/support_for_care_leavers
