I thought you could only do the NVQ2 etc if you had a job/apprenticeship; thus enabling site visits and build up of portfolio/evidence

we have put about 30 odd through the NVQ2, which includes a 10 week placement, to build up portfolio to add to workshop practical, the guys dont have an employer to start the course as it is a 26 week full time course

or five yrs self employed.
think some collages do it all for you now.
