I'm having a little trouble understanding how a pressure equalising valve can operate successfully with a shower.
It just seems counter intuitive that a valve which seeks to balance pressure can work in tandem with a temperature gauge whose job is the create imbalance between the hot and cold inputs, dependent upon the temperature selected.
To my non expert brain, increasing the temperature of the shower should cause the hot water flow to be increased, which would be balanced by a corresponding increase in the flow rate of the cold water, thus restoring equilibrium.
I guess I am blinkered here somehow and I hope someone can help me out.
