My research seems to come up with contradictory advice, so I am seeking some clarification.

I have mains pressure cold water & low pressure hot water from a hot cylinder. I intended fitting a manual tap/shower mixer to the bath with a pressure-equalising valve, isolating & double check valves located beneath. Would the non-thermstatic pressure-equalising valve be suitable for the job?

If you do a search on here, some plumbers find they don't work 100%. It's really best if you can take the cold feed from the cold water storage tank for equal pressure.

Masona is right the pressure valves wont do jack to alignh mains pressure to gravity.
