How can u test if a pump is not working

What electrical & physical tests can be done on a c/h pump to see if it is faulty?

you can useally feel them hum.
or remove the centre screw and see if its turning.
 
NO ELECTRICAL TESTS PUMP WAS V HOT IS THAT A SIGN THAT ITS WEARING OUT TOO? THANKS

If it is getting voltage to it and is not turning it is obviuosly faulty but if it is turning and you want to know if it is performing properly,

isolate the electrical supply to it,

remove the live and neutral wires,

with a multimeter measure the resistance (ohms) accross the live and neutral terminals on the pump,

most pumps should give a reading of 150 ohms if it is above 250 ohms it is faulty.

BE CAREFUL BECAUSE PUMPS IN COMBI'S GIVE VARIOUS READINGS SO IT WOULD BE GOOD TO CHECK WITH THE MANUFACTURERS.

simple to test!
get a screwdriver put the blade end on the pump body, then listen to the other end. you will hear the pump rotating if it is.
