How do I change washer in this tap?

Hi,

I have spent half an hour trying to figure out how to remove the top of these taps to replace the washer.. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The top dome of the tap unscrews (if you can grip it hard enough) - when taken off there is a phillips screw beneath that holds the rest of the tap body on.
