how do i stop msn

how do i stop msn messaging from keep on starting up ?. ive tried msconfig i had it 4 times in there unticked all rebooted pc all ok . but then the next time my partner goes on msn it she clicks on icon on desktop and it seems to load it again in the startup . so next time i boot up pc it loads it .why does this keep happening ? i uninstalled msn in add remove progams no more msn in add remove . but its still there so i found folder with it but it wont let me delete it why? any one help me please

in messenger, go to tools/options, remove various ticks that imply that messenger will get in your face on startup
