Hi does anybody know how to turn off the alarm system completely at the main electric box?? It keeps going off when someone walks across the landing and ive tried to get in touch with the installer but can't get no reply !! it's coming up omit zone tamper z04 landing, it's very annoying when it goes off at all hours in the morning!!

thanks :D

also is it possible to turn the sound off inside and outside??

To completely disable it you need to take off the front cover of the alarm panel, this will set off the alarm, once the cover is off, locate and remove the mains fuse and disconnect the battery. Next go outside and remove the cover from the sounder and disconnect the battery in here too.

Might be a better idea to remove the mains before you remove any covers.

Your obviously not able to give good advice or know about mains powered devices. So please don not give dangerous advise.

OK point taken, do you want me to advise the OP on the safe use of ladders to get to the alarm box as well?

How about asking a more in depth question and solving the problem rather than saying disable it.

So, to the OP.
Are you using the A B C D settings or just full setting at night?

What are the exact symptoms you are getting?
Is the system actually set at night?

From here we can go forward.

Just to see if its the same fault,as it seems there is an intermittent.
Rather than guess, the more info the better.

But you just carry on :D

ive had a few 9651 panels with tamper problems which seem to move from one zone to the next even on zones that are linked out, panels from around 2007, swopped it for an earlier panel pcb and the fault didnt happen again. i also know of other people having the same fault but scantronic said they had never had this problem. typical
