How exactly do you fit a hole saw to a drill?

Hi

I'm a DIY Newbie.
Just bought a cordless drill and also a box of drill accesories that include hole saws.

How exactly do you attack these to a drill?
I can't see how unless it's because my drill is checkless and they may need a chuck key to be attached?

close to the hole saws will be a drill bit with a collar and nut on it
may look a bit like this

remove the nut sellect the hole cutter
affix the hole cutter with teeth pointing towards the point on the drill bit affix the nut insert the shaft into the chuck and tighten
