How high can I make my fence

How high 'above' the legal 6' limit can I make my fence - ie. I think I can fix a trellis can't I?

legal limit is 6'6". all depends on the situation and the neighbours. if no-one will complain than many people do it and get away with it.

What, u mean many people go higher? Can I fit a trellis though, is there a max height?

yes 6'6" is the limit, but many people take a risk and go above it, down to you

I thought there was some clause where ` trellis was classed as not permanent so didn't count, albeit that it's nailed to the fence!
