Are all you old time trade served electricians really such slow learners? How long did it take you to learn your craft? Imagine if you had only known how, you could have been qualified in just three months. Not only that but you could have a nice new shining van with real stock and lovely new tools, and some business training thrown in. Oh lets not forget four weeks on the job training.
You want to know how?

Maybe they mean that if you are already a sparks and you give them your money they will refine your skills. They can’t seriously be saying that a few weeks in a training centre and a couple of days OJT and you’re a qualified person, can they?

For the part P experts, when did it become a EU regulation? I thought that Part P only applied to part of the UK. These must be some London lads that don’t travel much. Or maybe their EU is a Electrical Union that they have set up just for themselves.

Sorry, I know London people are very nice and widely travelled.
  :p

so not only do they identify if you are greedy and ignorant, and a mug, but also how much money they could con you out of.

So are you going to apply then John ;)
Just think of all that lovely money just waiting for you to pick it up for no work on your part.

Once upon a time in a land far away, lived a fairy princess..........

How could you tell that I'm greedy and ignorant, and a mug?

Unfortunately, all my available liquid capital, and the dairy farm livestock, went on a major arable investment in the Magic Bean sector. They should start sprouting any day now.

Did anyone go to www.eleclocal.co.uk. I've just tried (out of intrest) to find my nearest eleclocal sparks but when whatever postcode I enter from Glasgow to Dover, I get

Sorry...
Your postcode is not yet covered by ElecLocal.

I can't even find one in Durham

It is now illegal for anyone not 'Part P' qualified to work on most of the electrics in your home

They dont cover my area either. I gather uptake of their "franchises" weren't very good .. .
