I'm about to rip up the turf in our back garden and lay some new, good stuff.

I have read previous posts and think me and my son can manage it; dig up the old turf, bring in good quality screened loamy topsoil, lightly compact the new top soil and rake, lay new turf and water, water, water.

We need to plan the work and book some time off work, do you think we complete this job in 1, 2 or 3 days.

The area is 100sqm, and we are both fit and well.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

your looking at a days prep and a day to lay if your not used to it. Make sure you wear gloves as they will dry your hands out very quickly when handling them
