How many posts to support a 5mx5m deck

Hi,

I've purchased a DIY decking kit that is 5mX5m. The kit states that only 9 4x4 post are required to support the deck.

although my deck uses 6x4 joists rather than the deck board mentioned in the instructions. Do the experts on here think that the deck will be adequatley supported following these instructions or is there any extra I should do to provide extra support. My deck is actaully raised 1.2m at its highest point although the ground is terraced and is at ground level on its lowest point.

well, I wouldn't ave done it like that! For a start you need more noggins - they act as stiffeners to the structure. 9 posts is OK - maybe even over the top as you have used 6x2. Put one at each corner, though. No need to double up on the joists like they show, though.
