how much does a full bath of water weigh?

The question clearly stated a half-filled glass, and the finger not touching the glass. So, discounting a hugely fat finger, the glass cannot overflow.

Apologies, then the answer is that it'll weigh the same.
No it doesn't, the weight increases.

It would "change" weight
What do you mean by that? The 1000 t half or fully immersed weight does impose less strain on the crane, as it is being supported by a force equiv to the water being displaced. In the case of a boat, fully lowered onto the water, the crane registers zero and the weight of the swimming pool increases to water + 1000 t.

OK, I was brought up to be honest, I tried it at home last night, and the weight does indeed increase. You may scoff at will.

What's there to scoff at?

If you weren't floating, or the bath wasn't full before you got in, then of course the weight increased.
