Hi all.
I need some bog work done.
First question is: Should they charge to come round (Quote)?
Second question: How much (average) an hour do they charge?
Third: I need to have a new valve assembly put into the WC, I have the assembly (which I was going to do myself, but realised that you have to take off the cistern off) to replace the part? How much for the job? Any ideas?
Thanks

I'd be very surprised if someone would come around and qoute for the job.
Plumbers I know in West Mids charge around £15- 20 hr but like a minimum price to make the job worth it.
Expect to pay a minimum of £50 labour ( put my head on a block here)

its normally the kind of job thats req to have a look as its normally fairly standard.
A guess i agree bahco..about £50..maybe less if u are very near to the plumbers h/a and it goes very smoothly ! (oh..dont forget tea and chocolate biscuits

i charge a price to do a close couple normally about £65 including syphon and close couple kit.
i assume thats what you mean by a valve and not ballvalve and no i wouldnt come an have a look
