Just wondering how much it generally costs to get connect to the gas?

I assume the supply would be somewhere out on the path/street as most other houses down my road are on gas.

Can't find anything on the British gas site nor through google.

Just considering my options really as oil seems to be working out quite expensive.

A standard terraced house with front garden about 6ft in Norwich is usually charged at around £500 - £600.

Anything further than that is around £100/metre.

You would have to ask your intended gas supplier to arrange a quote from NG.

Many thanks guys. I'd probably need 20+ mtrs to boiler. Would I be aloud to extend it myself once it on my boundary?

had gas put on last year quoted £750 by national grid for 3m run,
dug trench myself and they connected gas for £220

You only pay for the distance to the meter.

Putting a ground meter box close to the boundary will be cheapest!
