How to change lock on uPVC front door

My daughter lost her handbag, which included the front door key, but luckily nothing with her address was in the bag.

She had a replacement key, but still feels as if she should replace the lock.

Is this DIY'able ?

Isn't it something like replacing the barrel just ?

One of the easiest jobs you can do

Take the lock out and measure inwards from each end to the centre screw hole, this will give you the size required in millimetres for both halves

That's easy ... even my wife could do that.

Are there any good brands to buy, or are they all pretty much the same.

If you can stretch to an anti bump, anti snap and maybe even anti drill then it gives peace of mind, theres a whole host of makers, stick to the main players and you won't go wrong
