How to cleaning sockets and switches?

I always look at jobs like that in this way.

If a mate asked you to clean them for him, and offered to pay you a quid per light switch, and £3-4 per socket, would you jump at the opportunity, or would you be arranging the words "bike", "on" and "your"?

If the latter then take the same position - chuck the old ones away.

very true, but the dishwasher brings them up like new, and will do them all in little time, with no effort. If you don't like the results, chuck them away
