How to cut this thick timber?

Hi all

I have these 24cm x 12cm x 3.2m timber, that I want to cut lengthways via the short edge (as per yellow line in picture)

Problem - a standard circular saw isn't deep enough to cut through, even if I cut both sides.

Does anyone know of a decent jig I could use with a chainsaw? The cut needs to be straight, as I'm turning them into veg boxes.

Thanks!

If you have a timber yard/merchant close by give them a ring and ask if they can do it for you.
Obviously you will have to pay and they may get you to agree that if they mess it you will not hold them responsible unless it was by sheer neglect.

An Alaskan Mill will do the job but remember a chainsaw isn't a toy. We use one a lot for cutting boards from fallen trees.

That just sounds like a challenge
It's not that kind of challenge.

As many members on here know, one of the regular posters here was killed by the kick back from an unsafe way to cut timber. If you can't do things safely and minimise the risks, don't do them at all, you can't take your pride with you.
