Hi,

Sorry if questions like this get asked all the time. I haven't installed an alarm for 15 years so I am very rusty.

I have just bought a 1988 house with a C&K alarm installed. I have uploaded a picture of the keypad but the panel doesn't have any ID label on it. I have not been left the code or instructions or infact, anything. I want to rip it out but is there a way without setting off the bell box?

The alarm isn't set and doesn't go off if I turn my consumer unit off. Does this mean I am safe to open the panel without it going off and start disconnecting wires?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Get some ladders disconnect the bell box for a start ,then it won't matter what you do inside , just because you turned off the mains and it didn't go off , it may have been running on the battery !

When you say disconnect the bell box, doesn't the bell box go off when you open it up?

Turned out the bell box didn't even work anymore! Thanks for your reply.
