Last night somebody put the window through on our front door. We have no idea why we think it might be connected to my son’s ex-girlfriend and her jealous boyfriend but we have no way of proving it.

In any case, we need to remove the glass and replace it with plywood on the internal side. The door is wood and on the external and the main body of the door is aluminium. There seem to be four wooden beads surrounding the main window and then a white plastic fillet and then the gasket and then the glass it looks like the wooden beads should be removable but I would like to ask if anybody has any experience with this kind of job we need to fit plywood today.

I’m a little bit concerned that the white fillet between the wood and the glass is part of the aluminium door, but I’m not sure. I was going to try and remove the longest bead to the left or right with a chisel and a hammer, but they’re only seems to be a couple of millimetre depth on the outside of the bed where it connects to the main door and there appears to be something like a tongue and groove in place. i’ve added a picture showing it

Any help appreciated

Wood surround comes out on inside.
I can see the beading in first picture.

That's what I think. Not easy to see
