I'm looking for advice on how to finish this bath.

There was water on the ceiling below the bath, and having removed a trim seal, I have found that the tiles don't even meet the edge of the bath!

I'm not sure about putting on another trim seal. I was thinking about maybe adding a line of 50mm x 50mm mosaic tiles to bring the line down to the edge of the bath and then sealing the top of them to the existing tiles and the bottom to the bath. Is this a bad plan? Any other solutions greatly appreciated.

Trim seals, especially if they are planted on the outside of the tile are a recipe for disaster.
Consider quadrant tiles (available from Ceramic Tile Distributors) to give a pleasing edge.
In some cases its possible to actually jack the bath up on its feet to fill the gap - pipes and drains permitting, of course!
