How to fit a SWA gland

Hi,

I'm installing a supply to my shed, and I havent done SWA glands before and am struggling like hell. My boss is going to come and check/test what i've done, but only when i'm done. He's told me basically what to do, but fitting the cw 20s gland for 3c 2.5 swa is a nightmare. I can get up to the point where you slide the steel up the cone, but I cant then screw it together.

Any tips?

Turn the olive round & try.

And if that doesn't help. make sure you are not forcing the armour over the thread, (ease it back a tad).

Get some cheap glands that dont come with a compression olive just the gland body and nut they will be a lot easier to install.
