How to fix this toilet flush?

Hi,

Please see attached photos.

This toilet doesn't flush with the button, but works fine when you manually push the syphon down.
I can find tubes like these from plumbing shops, but I am not certain that alone would fix the problem. I think the bit lower down, connecting to the syphon may also need changing.

Could someone assist me with what this part is called, and where I can find one? Also, if anyone thinks my troubleshooting of the issue is incorrect, please let me know.

(Blimey that is expensive for a rubbish piece of plastic!)
 
At the risk of being pedantic, your flush is not via a siphon but instead is by the bellows operated flush valve, which is effectively just a flap at the bottom of the cistern which opens to flush and closes again to allow the cistern to refill.
