Hi All

I have an Ariston Ecombi One combi boiler and I have tried I stall hive. Have wired up the receiver with N to connection 1, L toconnection 2 and earth to the earthing point. Also wired connections 1 and 3.

At the boiler I have removed the link cable from TA1 and connected the cables connected to 1 and 3 at the receiver to TA1.

Setup hive and can see the thermostat and hub in the app.

When I set the thermostat to heat up I hear a click from the receiver but the boiler doesn't fire up. Have restarted everything still no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas why this isn't working?

Thanks

Hi no the boiler doesn't have a built in clock previously the boiler was controlled using sensys net which was connected to the bus connector I removed this.

Depending on the boiler, could still be looking for the bus thermostat. What are connections at TA?

Here is a diagram of the board, there is no timer on my boiler.

Have you disconnected the bus terminals? If TA is the room thermostat then there’s no reason it shouldn’t work.

Yes bus terminals have been disconnected. As you say it should work.

Sounds like a connection is not seated correctly, common mistake is that the copper conductor has not gone into the terminal and seated correctly, I have seen many connections where the screw has clamped down onto the insulation of the wire rather than the copper conductor, this needs to be rechecked, also check you have 240v at your boiler.

By way of an update I rewired all the connectors and it is now working as it should. There was either a dodgy connection or hadn't left hive long enough to settle.

Thanks for all the advice.
