How to plug hole in soil pipe branch?

Hi

I’m trying to plug a soil pipe branch that’s no longer needed. The hole is about 38mm wide and I tried using a 51mm hole saw to cut and glue old plastic pipe onto it but it didn’t stick (using solvent weld). The plug/boss inside diameter is 52mm, o.d. 58mm, and branch is made by Terrain.

Any thoughts how to seal hole?
