Hi Folks

My elderly father has 2 pay as you go mobile phones - one with Lycamobile and the other with Vodaphone.

He would like his Lycamobile number to be transferred to Vodaphone, so he only has to carry one phone around with him.

Could someone kindly suggest the quickest and easiest way to do this?

Thanks

You contact Lycamobile, and ask for a PAC (pronounced PACK) code for that number. You then give that number to vodaphone, and in their usual fashion, will screw him over rightly. They have about the worst customer service going, and unless you desperately need the coverage, I'd find another provider.

He will lose the Voda number too.

If he would like to keep both numbers in one handset, you need a dual SIM device.

If you need Voda's coverage, you don't have to pay their prices.

Just use a SIM from an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) that piggy-backs off Voda, but you'll pay less.

Age UK and Lebara use Voda.

How is porting one number going to help? :confused:o_O

If he carries two phones, and ports one number then thats exactly the same as keeping the number.

The easiest and quickest is to just carry one phone with the number he wants to use!
