How to put laminate boards down in this room?

Progress....

Bits of my son's bedframe that were not needed for his xbox table fit perfectly in the gap in the floor. Well, perfectly after some persuasion with a saw, hammer and chisel.

And first box of boards down. Doing it the way first planned, just think the door will be easier for me to manage this way, and only thin bit of board will be hidden.

One problem - I have my first squeaky floorboard. Squeaks in one point, and hoping that once the boards cover the area the squeak will go. Won't be very noticeable if it does still squeak though, and I am not lifting the floor to find out why!

I would try to randomize the joints, instead of having then line up in diagonals if you see what i mean.

In regards to the door threshold, i would finish the board under the middle of the door tickness minus 5mm or so, depending on the type of door threshold you are going to use. So then door in close, you don't see any joint.no even the threshold.

Update: just realised i joined the party a bit late!! looks good

Yeah, my wife moaned about the staircase design! Had to redo!
Ended up doing it 3-4 times, as I got the the end and was just short of the wall+skirting, but it was a bit tight to the first wall, so moved the whole lot about 1cm, which mean re-doing the pipes for the radiator. And now I see I didn't leave enough space around the pipes, so have ordered a multitool so I can shave a bit off...
