Morning all, my son's just made a chip in our worktop and I wondered if anyone has any tips on how I can repair this?

Many thanks :)

I wonder if you can get Grey Bicarb? Superglue on that and you'd have a repair :)

Thanks guys, I seen that video but its the colour matching that seems to be the issue :(

I hadnt considered warranty, do you think it could be covered? It was already in when I purchased the house so must be 6 years old now..

I'd experiment with a mix of artists' colours, talc or powder filler, and clear epoxy.

You could possibly grind a wee bit off a hidden edge of the underside of the worktop with a Dremel and burrs where it wouldn't be noticeable (such as in a washing machine recess) and use the dust to colour your repair

Thanks and nice idea. I have the chip that came from it.

Can you not glue the chip back into it - you could maybe use UV cured resin such as is used to repair windscreen chips then gently sand back with fine wet and dry (or diamond stone) - you can then buff up with lapping paste etc.
