Hi everyone,

I've just moved house and found that there is a small leaking in the toilet. I tried to move the joint, but it started leaking harder. Then I just pressed the metal pipe a bit inside of the joint, and the leaking became not so hard, it is just dripping now, but still I don't know how to stop it completely. What would u do in this case. Here are the pictures.

Thats a disaster waiting to happen

Why has somebody gone to the effort of using chrome, putting a bend in it, then stuffing on a push fit.....

ok, am I right to understand that what I need is:

1 - to buy that valve,

2 - drain down everything,

3 - remove the plastic valve and

4 - fit the new metal valve

 at what stage and where should I fit a short piece of copper pipe? (how short and what diameter?)
