The socket is 15mm and the plain end is 22mm which will need to go into a 22mm fitting.

speedfit fittings can't disconnect just like that if properly inserted. I've tried and it's very hard. You can also lock it into place. For fittings that have been there for a while, I even struggle to undo them. Can't imagine them getting undone even by pulling on the pipe.
 
Problem is some of us don't need to imagine. We've seen it happen
