I have had to purchase a new 2 gang light switch for the kitchen and the back looks very different to the old one. I have 2 brown wires plus a brown loop and also one red wire.

Could someone please advise how to wire it correctly.

Thanks

Almost certain this is what the wiring is :-

One Brown [A] brings power to the switches, this uses the short link to get power to both.
One Brown takes switched power to a lamp
The Red takes switched power to the other lamp

You need to know which Brown is [A] and which is

If the old switch is still connected then [A] is the Brown connected to the short loop wire.

On the new switch connect [A] to one Common and the loop to the other Common
