Is it very old fashioned these days to have the TV in the corner of the room?

Who cares about fashion, I go for practical, comfort, and effectiveness. It's an eminently sensible, option, making a TV watchable, from two sides, of square room, and possible to fit the TV at the perfect eye level when seated.

The bedroom TV, is mounted near the ceiling, for easy viewing, when relaxing in bed.
