Hi all, got a strip of beading to fit. It's been done once before & it was glued to flooring. Only lasted a few years thou. The other way I could fit it, is against metal edge of French doors.
Any idea whether it would last longer against the metal edge, if so how would I do. Glue it, if so what kind? Or glue & use pins to nail it on the floor.

The constant opening and closing of French doors (or banging them shut!) loosens the beading whether it is wood or plastic, as do feet and various other impacts such as vacuum cleaners etc etc.

Silicone will take up some of this movement but eventually the joint will fail again.
