How's your luck with Premium Bonds?

If you notice previous posts the figures vary enormously - so i work out the return for the month and multiply by 12
I topped up to the max in April so the first draw was last month - £275 won so that’s 6.6% if you times it by 12. This month it was £150 so a running total of £425 and if I times that (two months) by 6 it will be a projected 5.1%. Next months winnings (if any is won) will be added to the £425 and multiplied by four and so on. Obviously I won’t get an exact percentage until the 12 months are up.

Another way would be to hope to win say, a minimum of 4% tax free over the year and add up the monthly percentages. You would need to average @ .33% every month to hit 4% in month 12. On that basis I had 0.55% in month 1 and 0.3% in month 2 so I’m at .85% - slightly in front of the month 2 target of 0.66%. Winning at the moment!

@Mottie Thats the way to do it, max out on PB's and that's 50,000 chances each month of a million. Then as soon as a number pays out £10k or more, hopefully more, change your block for a new one. Well, that's my theory and it has served Mrs Scally and me very well indeed

£25 for me and £125 for Mrs Mottie. I think mine have gone stale and hers are not exactly off to a good start.
