Hull isn't so bad after all

Do they still have yellow phone boxes? , donkeys years ago I bought some shares in Kingston Communications as there was takeover speculation at the time and that was when I heard about the yellow phone boxes, never quite got my head round how or why they had their own telecoms company.
It is Kingston Communications, the only privately owned telephone company in the UK. It still is today. Although the telephone boxes are mainly used as libraries and for housing defibrillator's, still cream coloured

edit: and I genuinely didn't know Kingston upon Hull was Hull.
Kingston upon Hull sounds proper posh.
Did you lose on the shares? Just about everyone did when they floated KIT on the stock exchange.

It went up and everyone was flurrying around taking loans out to buy them. Then the big flaw with KIT hit the news and suddenly the shares plummeted to valueless.

.... one specific housing estate in Hull; we were surveying it for demolition, when the police came around and asked us what we were doing there.
We told them, then asked them what they were doing there.
"Reports of a break-in last night".
"You're a bit late then; it's eleven AM!"
"We don't come around here after dark"............

Tis great to hear folk talking about their home towns! Makes a change from the obsession with foreign countries and foreign people.

An essential difference between left and right is:

Right - love their home and their people.

Left - obsessed with foreigners, despise their own country and own people.
