HW cylinder vent pipe

I am replacing the old storage tank in the loft.

The existing vent pipe from the indirect cylinder below is not high enough above the tank water level so I will need to extend it. Also the existing 180 degree vent pipe U-bend has been formed with two elbow connectors and short lengths of pipe.

Is it OK for the U-bend to be made up like this or should it be formed in one piece with a pipe bender?

Its a bit amateurish to use 2 elbows but it does work.

Buy yourself a pipe bending spring (cheap) if you don't have a set of benders already.
