I need professional help with a fitted bedroom

Hi all,

The wife and I have been looking at improving our bedroom for the past year but we can't find a reliable company who won't charge an arm and a leg. We have looked at all the large companies but only seem to hear horror stories.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but would anybody be able to recommend a good fitted bedroom company in Scotland please?

I can't help you with any specific recommendations, but your first port of call should always be to ask everyone you know to recommend a company that they've used and were happy with.

Failing that, approach a couple of local companies, and ask them if they have any customers who would be willing for you to contact them and ask about their experience of engaging that company.

MFI were fine for my bedroom last year. They sent the wrong handles for one of the units, phoned them up and they said they'd post out the correct handles and just to pop the wrong handles into the nearest store at our convenience. Not bad customer service.

When the salesman found the furniture we wanted was delayed by 6 weeks, he knocked a couple of hundred off for us. The furniture was already in a multisave promotion (buy two wardrobes and a chest for £600 or similar) so we were quids in.

I would advise anyone ordering MFI to check off the items as they bring them in, on the picking list. Yes its tedious, but its the drivers job to wait for you to do it. You will need everything on the picking list.

Do it yourself with MFI, your just paying monkeys most of the time anyway
