Hi,
I'm a total novice with security systems and have recently purchased a flat with a Scantronic I-on 16 system installed.
I have noticed that a couple of times a day (one of which is usually in the middle of the night) the alert alarm is going off and notifying me that there is a low battery. The previous occupants of the property have left me with a user guide for the security system however this has only brief instructions on how to operate the display panel and tells me nothing about how to replace the battery.
The panel itself seems not have an easy access clip or something which shows me where to replace the battery, but there is a box below the display panel which is screwed shut - is this where the battery is located?
I'd really appreciate if anyone with familiarity with this system could tell me what I need to do to resolve this alert and point me in the direction of any relevant online manuals for reference! I'm keen to avoid spending hundreds of pounds on the getting out an engineer if possible because I just don't have the money having recently purchased the flat!
Thank you!
Jessica
