I didn't realise the significance of rust marks & now I find there are several splits (up to 4" long and crumbling in) in the bath, top on the sides, if that make sense. It seems to be an iron frame bath, covered by enamel.
Questions from a House-management dunce...
Am I right to think the bath with splits like this is a lost cause, must be replaced? Who do I phone about replacing the bath? Plumber? Bathroom installation specialists? Can I hope to re-use the taps (they look fine and match the ones on the sink) or will they need replacing, too? Is there a good strategy for getting a good price for new bathtub purchase & installation? Are there standard size bathtubs?...Do you think I am likely to find a bath that will slot into the existing space, or can I expect to do a load of re-tiling?
thanks in advance.
