icon23t v/v replacement pressure v/v passing (help)

After changing a leaking heating return v/v on my combi icon23t boiler and refilling system have now found pressure relief v/v passing even though system at no time has been put above 2.5 bar pressure, it continues to pass untill system shuts down.
any advise would be most welcome.

Has the pressure gauge gotten some gunge in the little pin hole end causing it to give a faulse reading?....if not new PRV.

Thanks for the advice superdupergasman i think you may be on the right track .The problem i now have is locating the fault.I know where the prv is and it lifts if i turn the top anti clockwise do i need to get a corgi guy in as this is water side and not gas side any help most gratefull, also system seems to hold pressure a good deal longer when c/heating running .
