ID brushless motor controller

This is to help someone else out. It is the brushless, motor controller, on a mobility scooter, but they also use these same controllers, on ebikes etc.. It has selectable 3 speeds, variable throttle, controls lights, brake lights etc.. What I am hoping for, is a diagram of the pinout of the various plug connections, if possible. The control is made in China.

I'd buy a kt controller with a wiring diagram or other. Kt are best. I just bought one for £17.

Might save the hassle of working out the wiring

Not really an option. It is a brand-new mobility scooter, which in the EU has three speeds, 6, 12, and 25kph. When sold in the UK, the 3rd speed is disabled - usually via a simple wire link. All they want to do, is re-enable that 3rd speed.
 
Look through listings on Aliexpress for similar controllers, it may be possible to work out with the documentation of a similar product [and a multimeter?].

I've looked, and found nothing that matches. Were I there, yes I could probably work it out with a meter, but I am not there - I'm trying to help remotely.
 
It took me ages to find anything remotely close to my e-bike controls, and I am a little nervous of trying to change anything, have got it to show MPH and Miles instead of KPH and kilometres, and to be frank, not sure if legal or not, as no idea of its age, and the rules change depending on age, specially with throttle use.

There are it seems three speeds with mobility scooters, and each speed comes with different rules. 4 MPH is for pavement use, 8 MPH for road use, and 16 MPH needs tax and insurance, the same with e-bikes, if the motor is over a set size, again tax, insurance, MOT etc.

I see 1748523016806.jpeg here I have recorded to change to MPH I think it was some years back when I got it, I had become 70, and Colvid resulted in not being able to renew my driving licence.

I would prefer an e-bike where I was 100% sure it was legal, but this one folds, so I can carry inside my car, so it is secure if I leave it, but wife's has to stay on a rack on back of car. And I can get mine on the train, hers will not fit any but disabled carriage.

I have seen reports about a mobility scooter crash in Prestatyn, where the user was forced to sell their house to pay the compensation awarded after shop worker was injured. I will assume something not reported, but after that I was careful to ensure my mothers scooter was covered by house insurance. It was not much extra to cover the scooter.

Hers would only to 4 MPH, and I have been run into by her, it was only way to stop her running into someone else, and the torque from the 380 watt motor was not enough to injure me, which is why I say something not being told with the Prestatyn accident.

There does seem to be some stupid rules, like using a blue badge to park, what are the chances it will still be displayed on ones return, and the amber flashing beacon, if used on a road with over a 50 MPH speed limit. And except for testing, you are not to use a mobility scooter on a public road unless disabled. So yes if using it, I do carry my blue badge.

A class 2 invalid carriage does not require registration. Class 3 invalid carriages may not be driven by a person under 14 years; they need to be registered with the DVLA and are subject to vehicle excise duty ("car tax"), though the rate is zero.
since mine is class 2, I had not realised the 8 MPH version needs registering.

The main problem with the 8 MPH version is they are heavier, so harder to transport, and do more damage in an accident.

Mine is a Class 3 Veleco Gravis, which bought second hand, but never used by the original owner. I cannot really fault it, or it's high spec., but they come in for a lot of criticism, because not many UK specialists will even try to service them. In part that is due to the lack any information being available on them - The Polish company, buy them in from China, resell, and service/repair them, but are quite secretive about any knowledge about them. Any enquiries for information, is met by 'book one of their engineers, for a visit'. They have an official Facebook group, but many posts by users, are simply rejected, unless they are congratulatory of Veleco. To try to help those who might want to do their own servicing and repairs, I set up an independent group, for such owners, to exchange knowledge, and tips.

It uses a 60v 1000w 3ph, brushless drive motor, and is very nippy. It has three speeds, 1, 2, and 3. you just choose the speed, and it accelerates to exactly that speed, 4, 8, or 16mph, but in the UK, the 16mph is normally disabled. In my case, it was disabled via a simple switch, tucked away in the boot, so easy quite easy to enable.

One guy, has a different model, but which seems to have the option for the 3 speeds. I am trying to help him to enable that 3rd speed, but from a distance.
 
I think you might be on a hiding to nothing with this one. Nothing on Google or Baidu, Deepseek tells me that JN-4838 isn't really a part number and more of a description: 48V, 38A.
